1. Here are some pictures of the old cigarette butt in the tube of the MAP sensor to reduce the surging at steady speeds. The blue item is the MAP sensor and the top mounting bolt is hollow with a nipple for the hose connection into the air box.
2. Below are a couple of pictures of the inside of my clutch cover and a rubber gasket from a 900ss (I'm using it as a spacer). The retaining caps for the clutch springs where rubbing the inside of the clutch cover after I installed a new clutch housing (newer part number). I had noticed the original 907 clutch housing was flater at the bottom and turned up squarer that the new part number housing which was rounder at the bottom. Its the same housing part number that most Ducatis use. It's my belief the updated part number clutch housing moves the clutch plates more to the outside causing the clutch spring retaining caps to rub the inside of the cover. So I installed the gasket to act as a spacer and move the cover out to increase the clearance, but that also makes the clutch cover move out rubbing the underside of the fairing.

1. make sure your pressure plate is fully seated. There is only one way the pressure plate goes on. There is a triangle cast into the cover to indicate where it should match up to the corresponding triangle on the clutch hub. If you didn't change the clutch hub, then the screws and washers should be in the same place they were before. From your post I think you changed out the basket, which should have no affect on the location of the those screws and washers. One clue that is not assembled correctly is if you had to compress the springs to get the screws started. You should be able to get 3-4 threads on the screws into the hub before you start compressing the springs. (voice of experience) Even when you do align those marks, its sometimes a tussle to get the pressure plate seated correctly.
2. In that rubber gasket there are two or three , or maybe 4 brass bushings as part of the assembly. They were originally molded in, but they have a tendency to work their way loose. I can only see one in photo, but the other may be hidden with dirt. If they fall out, then you end up pulling that cover in too tight.
The 907 clutch is the same as all after that, so finding parts should be easy.
