hi all, on inspection my piston in my clutch slave cylinder is badly scored and the o rings are flat, the piston doesnt go in and out smoothly and there is no spring behind the piston ( is there supposed to be one in there ??).

The clutch always was a bit stiff so its time to replace it me thinks.

Is there an after market one that will bolt straight on ?

The inside bore of the slave cylinder is marked so theres no point just replacing the o rings as i can see future problems with it so i think its time to get rid and replace.

I have seen some on e bay from £45 - £100 but none of them mention 907ie in thier fitment.

Has anyone bought one and can tell me where to get one from, I presume this will be a cheaper option than ducati ( if they still stock the original at ducati that is ?)

your thoughts please

Thanks

Since 906/907 are so rare, I never had the opportunity to actually look at the slave cylinder, but I always assumed that it was the same mounting and function as the later models. Ducati never changed the mounting footprint of that part that I know of. Even the newest bikes use basically the same part and bolt right on. The 907/851 was the beginning of that era. There are many aftermarket slave cylinders, and the stock ones sell for relatively cheap on e-bay.

Cheers,

I went a bit overkill on mine, but have a Yoyodyne. Any of the slaves will fit if they are for an air cooled clutch. 900SS, or any motor, but not the new bikes. They have have an oil cooled clutch and a different slave. Look on ebay.

+1 on the Yoyodyne. I have one too; it's great. Not cheap though.

Just buy the uprated part from Ducati - See 907 FAQ.

Cheaper than $200 for the aftermarket item
