Nearly 25 year ago I got off a bike (at 60 miles an hour!) and have not been on a bike since. I have missed Ducatis (I used to have a 750 Paso that was a joy) every single day since. On Sunday, on the phone, on a whim, I bought a 907ie with one owner and 2,000 miles on it and just to make certain my wife was going to have a really dramatic sense of humour failure, an hour later I bought a 1994, one owner, 3,000 mile, 916S, one of the limited edition of 200. I wandered into the pub, went to our table and told all my mates, and my wife too, what I had done. If anyone out there can let me know what tools I need to fix this one I'd be grateful !! Rhino |

Just tell her that both bikes are an "investment", which they really are. My wife never believed that until I talked her into buying a bike...... she paid $1200 for it in an estate sale.... I sold it right after I picked it up the next day for $4000. Then I sold a BMW, a SR500 Yamaha, and a couple of more bikes to have a lot of work done on our house ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

forget sorting her out, you will never achieve that! Just do it like you mean it and she will love you for that more than a wimpy bribe....but then again I could be wrong ![]() but please do some roadcraft/rider training courses. Oh congrats on the bikes, 2000 miles only, will still need a lot of work to check all is well, tyres for a start. welcome to the best club/group there is ![]() ![]() 907 its not a bike its a cult |

Mc tool "still have the bikes" : I'm looking to ad a couple more (an 851 and an 1198). BUT it's ever so scary that I find myself owning two Dukes but no lid . . . how the French ConnectionUK did that happen ???? Blazing 928: Training courses for sure. Don't mind dying but would hate to take some-one with me. Higgy: Grovelling continues apace Thanks guys - remember as Higgy so rightly says: there's no such thing as Gravity - the Earth sucks. |
