Post subject: | 907 shop manual and Haynes |
Hi folks, Working on a 907 definitely needs a good manual. There are some fine manuals available at this site but unfortunately they are not complete. Therefore I bought the Haynes manual (scans can be made available if you are interested) but could not find an affordable hard copy of the workshop manual. Does anyone has a complete 907 i.e. workshop manual at hand for download? regards George |

George, the 907ie manual is only an add-on to the 906 manual and not a complete manual by itself. G. |

George, I only acquired my 907 a few months ago. It was not running, with a number of theories regarding its ills from the previous owner and the dealer who last worked on it. So, like all of my machines, the first thing I do is source out some good manuals. This site has some great info and pretty good downloads from scanned manuals and articles, but these have been more helpful as secondary sources rather than primary. I like to have factory manuals, despite the cost. I figure what I am saving doing the work myself warrants the $$. With the 907 I found there weren't any! The Haynes manual is not on the 907 but similar machines (unless I am missing something) and in my opinion, Haynes manuals are not that great at the best of times. The photos are not that clear and for the ones I have had they often try to cover too many similar bikes/machines. I usually have a Haynes manual, but it is usually my last choice. For the 907, despite being about a number of different bikes, LT Snyder's manual is, in my opinion, a must have. It is not a stand alone manual though. I find that it is great in conjunction with the downloads from this site. You can get it for a reasonable price from desmotimes.com or I think it is cycleworks.com in San Diego (where I got my copy). |
