well after about about 17months the motor for the restortion bike is finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New Ducati barrels, pistons, rings, redone rockers, new valve guides, Bob Brown, Melbourne Desmo Centre, has been a bit slow, I haven't cared, as I am still tinkering on my 928 after a year...... Anyway might see if I can get it done by November so a mate can ride it on the Snowy Ride with me. so far work done: forks rear shock headers ceramic coated 2nd hand radiator sourced triple clamps ect to be powder coated, blasted front wheel blasted and powder coated, but the wheel bearing recess needs lathing and shimming on one side, or BST Carbons ![]() ![]() frame blasted all other bits blasted to be done rear wheel headlight frame blasted, to be painted fairings blasted, to be fixed and painted headlight frame blasted and powder coated usual rewire regulator new bits full injection system dash handle bar riser plates sticker set to buy/ repair tyres chain Sprockets? FBF chip slipper clutch maybe FZ twin lights lower foot pegs brake lines clutch & brake master cylinder clutch & rear brake slave cylinder a few bottles of gin.... ![]() ![]() let the fun begin ![]() ![]() the wish list carbon fairings in a matt red, showing the carbon weave??? Can it be done by me!!! BST carbon rims. Colour?? red, black, dark titanium silver - like a senna bike, dark grey, with orange frame, maybe vinyl wrap it????? tricolour!!! it will be worth more ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nigel, I hope you didn“t do the same mistake that I did changing belts at the beginning of the restoration. When finished they will almost be due again. Get tires and belts at the end. G. |
