I'm in the process of buying some Ignitech TCIP4 ignition units for another bike, and I realized that with the next purchase my pricing on Ignitech products may get pretty good. So good, in fact, that I'm thinking of buying one of these: http://www.ignitech.cz/english/ignijet/ ... ducati.htm This would come with the correct connector to plug right into the 907IE harness, replacing the original ECU, so swapping back and forth during tuning would be possible. Looks pretty cool. Cost would be under $500.00 delivered, which is not at all bad. Anyone interested? I'm just putting out feelers right now; I wouldn't be pulling the pin on this project for a month or two. FWIW, The programmable ignitions - TCIP4 - cost me about $160 with shipping. There's lots posted on these in the Paso forum. Sam |

That's subject to verification, but it looks like yes. The systems have essentially the same I/O and ignitech has made and installed them with earlier connectors. Sam |

The Ignijet2007, as you can see from the pic, is fitted with connectors for the IAW5.9 and IAW5M ECU as fitted to my ST4s and most of the most 2001 on Ducatis until the Seimens ECUs on the latest bikes. Now with the right connectors I would imagine that it should be possible to fit it using the sensors on the 907. The only thing I'd be concerned about is that the 907 uses 2 engine position sensors, one on the flywheel for the crankshaft position and one on the jackshaft to determine the phase, whereas the later bikes have only one engine position sensor on the jackshaft which is used to determine both crank position and phase. I supose Ignitech will know whether this will work or not. |
