I have a new Regina chain on the way for my 907 and want to change the sprockets as well. Can anyone tell me if OEM sprockets are still available for the 907, or is aftermarket the only way to go? Any recommendations? I want to stick with the original setup if I can.

You can find easily normal Z=15 front sprocket from Ducati dealer(But no 14 there!!!). I dont know Your riding style, but i use normal 15 in front and 45/46 in rear, when She comes much more nicer to drive in towns and traffic lights. I dont need so high speed, but i like very much very light front wheel, when acclerate hardly

You can certainly stick with the stock 15/40. I have several gear and chain sets for various riding set ups on seperate rear sprocket carriers so I can easily swap when I want. 15/37 (80mph @3900rpm), 15/42 (80mph @4600rpm), and 15/44(80mph @5000rpm). 15/44 is a blast in the canyons and fuel is 37MPG ave. 15/37 is my current setup @47MPG average with the lower revs. I actually love this setup for fuel economy and cruising and in the canyons I just run a gear lower. Acceleration is slightly lower but first gear goes to 55mph before redline so less shifting. I have a chip and pipes so the fuel economy is nice with the 15/37 kit. You cannot run the stock chain gaurd with larger than 44 rear gear without mods to the gaurd. :thumbup:

KillerB: I forget to mention other modifications: Ported heads, ST2 Cams, STM Aluminium clutch, light flywheel, Open Contis, K&N, RETUNED FIM chip with flat top,etc, so She "talks" very well in acceleration. For me that fuel consumption is no any matter: When i want enjoy my life with Her, then not so matter, how much She drinks! If more power = More fuel also :thumbup: btw, here in Finland 95 oct fuel coast now 1,3 Euros....

DonaldoDuck: I dont have any problems with 45-46 rear sprocket, cause it DOESNT hit to chain guard! Its normal, no modification to guard....

Finnpaso sounds like an awsome 907! Do you mind posting or sending me a picture of your rear wheel/sprocket with the 45/46 setup. Also, what are your dyno hp numbers with your mods and what is the average fuel consumption with those mods? Also, what is the rpm @ 129kph/80mph with 45/46? I am considering a high compression piston kit, and cams and wondering what the results will be.

That sounds like an interesting 907 you have. Nice mods.
