I am after an additional set of wheels for my 907, I already have the rear one but I am still missing the front. I am looking online and there are several options available, from old 600-750-900SS with the same shape of the "spokes", but with a different part number 501.2.014.1.A The original 907 part# is 501.2.004.1.A Somehow I have the feeling they are exactly the same (probably a different supplier) but before committing to the purchase I wanted to verify my assumptions. Does anybody know? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The wheel I have , I only suspect its from a 907 or 851 , has a different speedo drive set up than the 97 SS I had , so that could be the diff ..... not a biggie but still more $$$$$ |

Angelix, it takes a bit of detective work to find out the difference but anyone can figure it out. The white rims were only on the 907ie, '89-91 851 and almost all '90-92 SSs. If you check the parts catalogues you see the part number of the rim includes the bearings and bearing spacer. If you then compare the front axle, bearing and bearing spacer part number you`ll notice they are the same for the 907ie and 851 but not the 900SS. Continue the research by googling the bearing part numbers and you`ll find out that all have the same od and width but the ones of the 907ie/851 have an id of 17mm the ones of the 900SS are 20mm. A '92 750SS has 17mm bearings, the '94 750SS has 20mm bearings. The reason could be a different axle diameter or bearing spacer design. The bare rim is the same. G. |

Angelix, the 180 rear tyre is already homologated. On my papers is clearly written. If you have got an Italian 907 with Italian papers, try to check out. Let us know. Ciao |
