Hello! Are the frames of the 906 and the 907 the same? Greets, Ahab |

no. Don`t know if the engine mounts are different (the part number of the right one is). The difference I know is that the frame of the 906 is shorter. There are alu spacers between the frame and the rear grab handle which the 907ie and the P750 don`t have. No idea why Ducati did this. If the background of your question is if you can swap engines or frames - I`m about sure there`s no big problem with that. G. |

The wheelbase is longer on 907, but some of this is due to longer fork legs, I don't think the geometry(rake) is changed. Isn't the 750/906 swingarm shorter than 907? So rear wheel is further back requiring mudguard to be further back. I think 906/907 engine cases are the same so should fit straight in. The mounting lugs for some electrics and injection will be different. |

The 907ie swingarm is longer but the length of the frame from steering head to rear grab rail must be the same as you can swap tank, seat and fairings. |

I use the 906 Frame and have the full fairing from a 907, fits without any problem. The Front frame for the headlight is different between 907 and 906. The frame of the 906 does not have the holder of the electric plate left behind the headlight (For relais, power controler) but it isn't a problem to weld a holder to the frame |

Im pretty sure the 907 swing arm is 40mm longer than the 906 , which I suppose accounts for the longer wheel base |

Thank you. I'm thinking about more power (as RĂ¼diger and Johannes realized) for my 907. I'm looking for a dummy frame, so i don't have to rip off my running bike. |

get a pre 1989 P750 frame and you won`t need an emission test or at least a frame pre 1990 as the legal noise level was higher. G. |
