My 907 has been sat all winter (and Spring) with 2 gallons of fuel in the tank, and some of that 'stuff' added that stops water build up due to condensation. I recharged the battery last week, but it wouldn't start; It always starts! Investigation revealed that the fuel pipes inside the tank, either side of the filter, had turned to mush. When I first replaced the fuel pump (three years ago) I also replaced those bits of hose. Is there some special type of hose that I should have used? (I used reinforced petrol pipe) Or, has the anti-water 'stuff' caused the problem or, maybe, ethanol (5% I believe) in the fuel? Yours Puzzled. ![]() |

Ordinary fuel line is meant to have fuel on the inside only you need submersible fuel line for inside the tank with a rating of SAE 30R10 capable of handling gasoline, alcohol-extended gasoline or diesel fuel in fully immersed, mobile, stationary and marine applications Most places that handle fuel pumps will also have the required line |

Just done the same to mine I sourced the pipe from a local diesel specialist who charged me £1 for a foot its fully submersible fuel hose and looks identical to the original, so you don't have to pay a fortune provided where you buy it from there's someone there who knows there stuff. I hope this helps |
