I have been scavenging the net trying to find a souirce for the original 300mm didcs used on tghe early 907s I did find some alternative parts from other brands (the same discs fit Guzzis, Yamahas, Cagivas and may others) but nothing from Brembo. I do gave the original set that came with my bike but they were replaced because of vibration with a new set from DISCACCIATI I was wondering if anyone knows of a potential source of the old brembos? |

Originals are pretty hard to find. First year 851 had them also. But between those two models, there were only a couple hundred bikes built to begin with. Finding them 20years on will be tough. The Yamaha YZF rotors work pretty good, as I ran them for years. I later found a set 300mm Brembo cast iron which are as rare as hen's teeth. Took me 5 years of searching e-bay. Other alternatives are the newer rotors from some of the 620 models (cheap on e-bay), and also aftermarket rotors from EBC, Pro-Lite, or the ones you currently have. Cheers, Phil |

I have already found all the "compatibles" and on ebay (Italy mostly) there are also few Brembos that should be compatible. I checked with Brembo and they don't show the 907 rotors in their "listings", but I know that others they have should be exactly the same thing, it is just unfortunate that they decided to take them of their listings only because the bike model is over 20years old making our lives difficult. According to my info, the BREMBO 78B408A2 , which is the same of several Yamaha models) should be compatible 100%, but the design of the carrier is different (same fitting , different color and cut-outs) so before committing I wanted to look around hoping I could put my hands on a set of cast irons with the same design (or similar) of the original ones. I still have my original rotors and i was also looking ito finding the overhauling kit (was it Spiegler who use to make them?) but it seems that they have disappeared from the market (apparently they do only BMWs) Anyway I will keep looking into this and if I find something I will update this post. in the meantime here is a list of correspondences that MIGHT be useful: YAMAHA part# 4HM2581T11 APRILIA part# 8113500 CAGIVA part# 800094980 DUCATI/GUZZI part# 49240051A APRILIA - 250 - RS 250 - 1995 / 2003 CAGIVA - 125 - FRECCIA 125 C 12 - 1989 / 1991 CAGIVA - 650 - RAPTOR 650 - 2000 / 2007 CAGIVA - 650 - RAPTOR V 650 - 2000 / 2005 CAGIVA - 1000 - RAPTOR 1000 - 2000 / 2007 CAGIVA - 1000 - RAPTOR V 1000 - 2000 / 2006 CAGIVA - 1000 - RAPTOR X 1000 - 2000 / 2005 CAGIVA - 1000 - RAPTOR XTRA 1000 - 2000 / 2004 DUCATI - 900 - 900 SS SUPER SPORT - 1988 / 1990 DUCATI - 900 - 906 S – 1989 DUCATI - 900 - 907 PASO IE - 1990 / 1991 MOTO GUZZI - 1000 - DAYTONA 1000 I.E. - 1991 / 1994 YAMAHA - 125 - TZ 125 COMPETITION - 1996 / 1997 YAMAHA - 250 - R 1 - Z – 2000 YAMAHA - 250 - TZ 250 GP - 1996 / 1997 YAMAHA - 400 - FZ 400 – 1996 YAMAHA - 400 - FZR 400 R/RR//RRS - 1989 / 1992 YAMAHA - 400 - SR 400 - 2002 YAMAHA - 400 - XJR 400 R - 1995 YAMAHA - 600 - FZR 600 – 1989 YAMAHA - 600 - FZR 600 R - 1990 / 1995 YAMAHA - 600 - FZS 600 FAZER - 1998 / 2003 YAMAHA - 750 - FZ 750 GENESIS - 1989 / 1992 YAMAHA - 850 - TDM 850 - 1991 / 2001 YAMAHA - 850 - TRX 850 - 1995 / 2000 YAMAHA - 1200 - FJ 1200 (NOT ABS) - 1988 |
