I'd like to summerize this and add it to the FAQs.

I know there's an Öhlins. It isn't listed on most Öhlins websites. However on the french site it is. According to PFP Racing who's the main Öhlins distributor in France the DU9080 shock is manufactured for them by Öhlins. (Price: ca. € 1.280,-)

https://ohlins.fr/amortisseur-moto-duca ... -2110.html

The type of shock it is based on is S46HR1C1L:

S - Single tube
46 - Piston diameter: 46 mm
H - Monotube high pressure gas type of shock absorber with hose mounted external reservoir.
R1 - Adjustable rebound damping on single tube shocks. Adjuster wheel above the end eye.
C1 - Adjustable compression damping. Adjuster wheel or slot on the reservoir.
L - Adjustable length.

Then there is the Wilbers Adjustline 631 Mono Competition (Price: base configuration ca. € 730,-. Optional hydraulic spring preload is ca. €230, height adjustment ca. €80).
The Wilbers has 22x adjustable rebound damping and the same for low and for high speed compression damping.

https://www.wilbers-shop.de/en/Motorcyc ... r=0&lang=1

Wilbers 630 Adjustline with 22x rebound adjustment (Price: ca. € 535)

Wilbers (Ecoline) 531 Classic (Price: ca. € 438)
https://www.wilbers-shop.de/en/Motorcyc ... assic.html

Wilbers Ecoline 530 Mono Road (Price: ca. € 424)
https://www.wilbers-shop.de/en/Motorcyc ... -Road.html

There's the Hagon M60037 (Price: ca. € 330) and M60037H (ca. € 467) which is the same with hydraulic preload adjuster
http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/catalog/p ... tno=M60037
http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/catalog/p ... no=M60037H

What else is there?

G.

Gerhard,

Wilbers also have the 641 shock versions (46mm piston instead of the 36mm piston of the 631).
That's the one which I have had them made for me (with piggy-bag and hydraulic pretensioner, similar to the Ohlins you describe).

Basically as long as you give the shock manufacturer the eye-to-eye length of the shock, the required spring rate and active stroke they all could make a shock for the Paso 750/906/907.
The Paso rear suspension (swingarm, frame and shock link linkage parts) is built relatively spacious (so you can mount a 46mm piston shock instead of the original 36mm versions).

I also know of: Bitubo (D0007XZE01), Hagon (M60037), TFX (former Technoflex, sorry no PN), YSS (MZ456-365TRL-20).
Also Hyperpro, Matris can make one if asked.

But not all will have the German TUV & ABE approval (if you need this) since there is not much demand for expensive shocks for the 750/906/907 (to be honest I would check the French if theirs - Ohlins - has a TUV & ABE approval for the 907IE, since Ohlins told me they never had one for the 907IE - other than the DU508 shocks for the Paso 750).

If I can help you out on this, let me know.

Frank

Also, Fournales Suspension list replacement air shocks for "DUCATI 750 PAS0, length 370, model MA040038, and DUCATI 906 PAS0, length 370, model MA040038.

Cheers,
Fraser.

I had a Penske 4way adjustable on mine before the Paso Öhlins.
Similar to the present 8900 series.

I'm hooking onto your post, but I believe my question is applicable here.
What is the length from eye to eye of the rear shock for the 907?
Is there any updating, valving, etc. that can be done to the front forks?
I went to an "Italian Bike Day" at Two Wheels in Suches Ga. this weekend. It rained a lot but Saturday turned out to be a great day.
The ride got me thinking about updating my shocks.
Thanks

Apparently there is something now offered by RaceTech. I looked it up on their website. When I took my bike to Traxxion Dynamics some years back, apparently there was nothing they could find to use to modify/ improve the M1R forks. Now it looks like there is. I may consider taking mine to DucShop and get Mark to rebuild/ upgrade the forks with Racetech components.

I had a great day at Two Wheels of Suches also. Had a blast riding down past Dahlonega at the end of the day with Rick , who was riding the Laverda 1000. He was riding that thing well. A little too much traffic, but we had some fun anyway.

Nice meeting you fellows, and nice to have the 907 out and running again!

Thanks, Gert!

Anyway for me seems best way is to call to Öhlins service here, as they can rebuilt Marzhocci original 907 shock, as i have rebuilding kit for it, what is missing only one simple part (what my friend can easily make to me with lathe). Last time, ab. 8 years ago it was only 60€:s to rebuild it there when i added spare part kit, what are not anymore available from Ducati. Original Marzhocci is little too hard for only driver (ab.70-80Kgs), but it works with passenger in back seat, or with heavy luggages. Its little stupid to pay VERY expensive schock to so old motorbike, but that is only my opinion :D
