Post subject: | Rough Running 907ie |
I just about finished eveything on my 907, but haven't riden much in a while getting it done. I have all the standard upgrades, K&N, Conti Slipons, proper sprocket, etc., but have noticed a vibration from the motor pulling at around 6k rpm. I can't tell if this is normal vibration or a sign of something amiss. Any input as to what I should expect from this bike to be smooth as silk at speed would be helpful. The tech who tested the bike after a tire instal mentioned he thought the bike ran a little rough, but since it hasn't done 150 miles in the last two years, I don't know whether to chalk it up to being taken off bed rest. I have just shy of 12k miles and the bike is mechanically sound. Running the stock chip (the Ultimap chip I tried today was, I believe, defective) No knocks, no ping, everything seems fine otherwise except for the leaing out at speed with the factory chip. Thanks, Michael Glendale, CA |

I've been trying to get them posted here (pictures), but admin is a little behind. I am a little biased, but I think they look pretty sweet. THey are certainly loud--set off a few alarms already. Fresh black paint with too much clear coat, black reflective decals that glow in direct headlights, Corbin, Contis, Euro tail light, K&N and a new Ultimat chip that could use a bit of tuning I think. It's taken a long time to get it together, but with only 11k miles, it should serve for a while. I also rigged the front (next the rear) marker lights to stay on while running yet flash when in use. A black bike could use a little help, I think. The decals are black during the day. Here's a picture: (alt+p) [/img] |

Those are those "newer style" Contis. But must ask, are those 2 to 1 System, or 2 to 2 ??? Btw, Contis are ALLWAYS loud, so they are "REAL" mufflers to Ducati. Ducati must be loud !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Want to ask, is that black part of pipes repainted/recoated??? |
