Just to let the local guys know that I have listed a new 160/60x16 tyre on "Trademe" manufactured 05/05 (yes 05/05 - made in Spain)
It seems that Michelin moved the mould from France to Spain for the last ones.
It has been wrapped in plastic and stored in a cool dark place - still soft.

One of my old tyres is 2904 (week/year?) so this is week5, year 05?

They mark them JUST so: week & year, as U write.....

EDIT: I went to my tire/wine cellar just and i found, that my "new 16" front Michelin" is from week: 14, year 05 !!!!! Made in SPAIN also. I taught, that i had tire from that older 2004 patch! Sometimes i dont know my OWN stuff anymore, cause i have too much all...PERKELE !!!!! i am very angry to myself now.... sorry, for that "perkele"... too naughty to translate... but luckily maybe only Fraser know such strong FIN words...

We Swedes know yksi or kaksi Finnish words also...

Yes, I still remember perkele and many others!! You will hear plenty when working with a group of men.
If stuck you can always try an "alternative" Finnish dictionery for a bit of help.

So, have just purchased (OK, 1.5 weeks ago) another Ducati; this time getting older, a 1981 Pantah. Was quite cheap as it did not run (that needed 2 hours before riding it up the street) now will get it registered and its certificate of fitness. Am very suprised how fast and loud it is (mufflers are old type reverse cone megaphone; many dBa).

Congratulations, Fraser! Pantah engine with megaphones sounds very nice... Much better, than any 900cc Ducati engine!

I was also little stupid, cause i bought another 907IE, not another ST2! I only wanted to save one 907 from wreckers and next summer it will be in street in very good tecnical condition, no matter fairings need some preparing still....
