Over here in Europe these can go for £1200 to £1900 ($1920 to $3040 approx exchange rates) for a nice clean example with a certified history (and history is paramount) spares wise quite a lot of stateside items although reasonable as spares on prices have now become ludicrous for postage ( a bit like England to Finland has been been for the last few years).
It is a lovely looking machine in one piece and sadly like all things beautiful it is in the eye of the beholder, price wise you know what you paid for it and what you have spent on it so as an investment maybe another option is to swap or exchange it for something more to your liking and that which you may then re-sell at a profit?
Be happy you are not selling that Buell beside it! Over here brand spanking new they are fetching less than $8500 and the second hand knock on value is being felt too. If it's trick and special and old you might get a better premium but never your money back.
