There is no way that will be sold at that price, there are still very clean low mileage 750's and 906 models coming up on ebay and the such like for less than £1,700 and not selling. Indeed I have recently viewed a nice blue 750 that the owner had been trying to offload for £1500 for over 18 months without any interest at all and another last month that was in wonderful road going condition and with less than 13,000 miles unsold for 24 months at £1,750. I also purchased some small odds and sods for my 907ie a couple of months ago from an owner who was so fed up trying to get just £2300 for his 36,000 miler bike he stripped it for spares instead and managed to get £600 more for the parts. Those of us with complete bikes one day may get a small return but while we continue to sell Marmite in the UK then sadly our bikes will always be sitting one side of the fence or the other and no doubt the prices will reflect it. They certainly are not an investment. My 60,000 mile 1993 CBR1000f was worth more !!!! ![]() |

Lets be honest folks . . . Pasos are very much the unloved member of the Ducati family. Yes I know WE can't understand it but the rest of the mototcycling world can't understand US. I'm not going to sing the Paso praises here - I'd be preaching to the converted - but I hope we all understand that these bikes are never going to be making anyone any money. If you'd wanted that you should have bought: a MHR, an Imola, a Montjuich, a 750F1, any bloody bevel - I could go on. But you didn't - you bought a Paso - Well done In years to come no-ones going to say - "Damn - look at him - how clever he was buying a Paso when they were worthless and now they cost a fortune, clever bloke." It just aint gonna happen. And guess what - I don't give a damn. It's my bike and I love it. I'm trying right now to negotiate the purchase of a 900ss from 1989 - the worst 900ss ever made - but do you think I can get him to part with it . . . you'd think I was proposing amputaion without anaesthetic. If it's a sound financial investment you're after - you picked the wrong bike. (I'm still a little sad I didn't buy the blue 750 when I had the chance . . .) |
