Jon,
Why's that strange? Imagine a lot of these camera and marshall bikes are volunteers who want to get close to the action. Admittedly, 907 if with aftermarket pipes would probably be louder than the organizers would prefer, but you go with what is available.

I used to do local tris here around Melbourne on my Suzuki Across GSX250F in 1992 or so [with a red screen to loo like a 906!]
