Can somebody turn the rain tap off? This winter in the UK we seem to have rain every other day and I want( need!) to go out on my bike. Is it the same in Europe and around the world? I am suffering BWS ( bike withdrawal symptoms) the only cure is a couple of hours riding!

Nah , hot and sunny here , had to abandon fencing job and retire to the sun brolly , cold Becks , and watch the poor bastard heating engineer install my new heat pump ,didnt even offer him a beer , excellent day all up.

I find it amazing that you can ride your cycle in February and not freeze to death. Although the weather here in northern Ohio, USA is warm for this time of year (48F/9C) and no snow for quite some time. Global warming??? Riding season for us starts late March/April. By that time most of the cinders and salt spread on the roads for snow/ice control is washed away

Depends how old you are . When I was 25 I rode thru frost ,rain ,snow ....all sorts of shit wether , 30 years later and .....#uck that ! The car has a heater ,stereo, seats , a spot for my pie to sit under the heater duct (stays hot longer ) and a drink holder . The only down side is I can hear the Mrs ....rather put up with all the thumping me in the back as a means of informing me of her displeasure

I do have an old Benelli 250 which I use in winter but this is being prepared to go to the Isle of Man TT
In June. On a weather up date it is still raining in the UK . I think we must have half the Southern Hemispheres rain! As soon as I do get out I will post some pictures to inspire others to go for a ride!

There hasn't been much rain up here in NE Scotland for the last week or so but plenty of frosty mornings so the local council is still chucking the salt down. I did get out on the Scrambler for a 55 mile run on Friday but bloody cold with temperatures around 8º-9ºC. I will wait until the start of April before venturing out with the 907.

My first 907 ie I had Oxford heated grips fitted, they were great! I have fitted heated grips to my 907 ie and Benelli 900, they mean you can ride for longer in winter.

On a more worrying note 2 ducks crossed the road today and started swimming in the drainage ditch at the side of the road ! Seems nature is starting to take over the road side waterways!

It's Gonna be warm next week in the North West just a shame the bike is still in bits in the Garage.
