Just a few preliminary findings There seem to be a basic 2 avenues to increased/restored output, well 3 actually but the third requires modifying the regulator which seems to me would be impractical for most..dissecting one today First; part one......... Rumor has it the ST rotor has stronger magnets..nix it wont work part two...it is possible to reflash the standard 14 magnet rotor to a stronger magnet I am looking into a way to do this at home in your garage with out risking your life or wallet...more later as I figure it out Second..after taking my spare stator apart it does not look to be a difficult matter to rewire the stator. the factory windings look hand made,pretty crappy actually,should not be a big job to make an improvement here. Got to figure out the best wire size for across the board as in rpm range improvement |

Just an update Forget the ST totally different Decided on a two wire rewind looking into wire sizes for the best output |
