:confused: some idiot has changed the regulator on my paso with something that has come off what looks like a honda cb400n regulator . have no charging from it the , alternator is putting out a voltage put am getting no voltage out of the other side of the reg
can anyone suggest a replacement one or do i have to try and source one though Ducati Australia.

I have heard of people changin the regulator for the carbed monster units and other guy that has changed for a 99 750 ss regulator.
It wasnt a direct replacement, because of the different connector.
I think any regulator for a recent bike ( 6 or 7 wires) will work on the Paso.

No se si con esto soluciono algo en Español pero lo intentaré. Yo tengo cambiado el regulador de mi paso hace un año y me plantee en sus días adactar otro de otra moto. Despues de indagar mucho, me fué mas factible colocar un modelo de regulador mas moderno que se fabrica para la Paso y no hay que hacer ninguna historia.
Para los mas entendidos supongo que sabran que el alternador de la PASO 750, 906 utilizan un alternador bífasico. Esto no es compatible con los alternadores de otras ducatis, puesto que son trifasasicos.
Respecto ha este regulador su referencia es la siguiente:(054040011A)., si alguien quiere como lo instalé se lo puedo esplicar con mas detalle el procedimiento y a parte la modificación del anclaje del mismo. :thumbup:

I just replaced mine with a japanese unit that is more powerful & reliable than the paso ones & 1/3 the price. It did require a bit of rewiring (not by me I don't do electrics, I got the bikeshop to do it for me - Fineline Motorcycles @ Taree) They got on to the Jap regulator through North Coast V-Twins @ Coffs Harbour:

That's good to know, :thumbup: it seems that service is still something that exists in the Italian Bike field, it was certianly non existant when I had Jap bikes (15 years ago) & had to wait 8 months for an indicator lens

As you are a Sydney sider have you used Gowanloch at all?
