mmmmm I don't know if there is any space for a spacer,if there is is very very little.....
the caliper bracket is from a m 900, i choose this one for a tecnical purpose,i know that down caliper bracket has a sort of anti-spinning clutch effect(i hope it's the right name),then m 900 and 907 have the same diameter of axle and also the design of the swingarm design is the same :smoke: :smoke: :smoke: :smoke:
Now my doubt about spacers remains........
i try to solve this question and i'll give you notice

does anyone know if a 5.5" wheel is larger at its center than a 4.5" ? From engineering point of view I would assume they are the same, but it makes me wonder ...
I checked the 17" wheel conversion description (with the P750 swingarm) from the download section.
According to that a 5mm spacer was used and a brake adapter with a width of ca. 12mm. I measured the 750 swingarm and read 237mm inner width so with adapter and spacer there remain 220mm. According to Terry the width of a 4,5" rim is 206mm incl. sprocket carrier. The wheel used in this case was a 5,5" so either this is 14mm larger than a 4,5" wheel or something is strange here ...

Coming back to the actual case.
907ie inner swingarm width 240mm
4,5" wheel incl sprocket carrier 206mm width
brake adapter (according to Piero) 29,8mm
so the spacer should be max. 4mm thick (3mm should be fine as well as the swingarm width varies slightely when you tighten the rear axle)

I don`t understand how a 907ie can originally use a 35mm wide rear caliper bracket.
240 - 35 - 206 = -1mm and this does not include any spacer ... (according to the specs the 907ie uses a 5,5" wheel which leads to the conclusion that both 4,5" and 5,5" wheels have the same width indeed).

Somehow confusing.

However regarding centering the rear wheel Terry is totally right, be sure the wheel runs in line with the front wheel. To be sure the best would be to use the caliper bracket of a 907ie.
I`m not sure if I have a spacer of a 907ie to measure I`ll have to dig through several boxes the next days to check unless Antti stops prepairing the suitcases and hops out in the garage to remove his rear wheel

PERKELE!!!! You guys stopped my packaging !!!!

I had to take my 907 rear wheel away to measure things to You: :banghead:

907IE rear wheel (5,5") wide is 208mm with carrier and 174mm without carrier

If talking about that 907 "spacer"(i would say bushing), what is "inner part" of those 2 bearings insided carrier, its little difficult to measure, but if we forget all that part of it, what is going inside of carrier bearings, then rest(spacer) is 6mm. I mean that larger edge of that bushing. Part number is: 71010061A part number 22 in table 22.

Ok, i was little joking, but luckily i have 907 wheels waiting my 17" converision to measure wheel.

Anyway now i have to put swimsuits(Ducati brand surely!!!!), diving glasses, teethbrush and medicins and some t-shirt to to my suitcase and leave all Paso things for 2 weeks to swim and dive in hot water and surely  little... sorry, quite alot, cause swallow there so much..... I think You, guys with Your problems under palm trees and take some more  ......

I checked all my boxes with spare parts and found some for my 907ie swingarm, unluckily the spacer is not among them.
So I guess you guys need to order it. However if the 907ie caliper bracket is 28mm (240-206-28=6), the spacer is as Antti said 6mm wide.
Assuming that the 907ie and 750/906 swingarm have the same alignment to the engine Piero would need to machine down his caliper bracket by 1,8mm.
However I wonder how big a misalignment can be before you feel any negative effect. Probably 2mm can be tolerated.

Piero,
it`s actually simple, just do the maths.
The swingarm is 240mm wide, the wheel incl. sprocket carrier 206mm. Remain 34mm of space. Your caliper bracket is 30mm wide so the spacer would have to be 4mm. (240-206-30-4=0)
So if you use the caliper bracket as you have it you need a 4mm spacer, but your rear wheel will probably be 2mm out of line compared to the front wheel. This is because the original spacer is 6mm wide, not 4.
So there are 2 options. Either make a 4mm spacer and try if a rear wheel shift of 2mm has any effect on riding or try to maintain the original measurements of the 907ie.
This would mean you need a 6mm spacer and you would need to remove 2mm of material from your caliper bracket. (yours is 30, the original 28mm wide)
The spacer is on the sprocket side, look on Tav.22 of the parts catalogue (part 25).
