I'm new to the forum after having bought a well-used red '87 Paso a couple of months ago. It had not been used since 2003 and was quite sad looking when I got it home. It has a 2 into 1 Gia Ca Moto exhaust which sounds very nice but isn't beautiful looking. I've replaced the timing belts and put a new gel battery in it and after re-building the Dellortos it starts and runs very nicely. The problem at the moment is that the fuel tap drips fuel whenever it is turned on (key on or off). All the fuel lines are new and tight and I think the fuel is actually coming from around the "shaft" of the fuel tap. Its the original one with a round knob, Not the lever type like my old guzzi has. FINALLY MY QUESTION!! Does anyone out there know a part # for a replacement fuel tap??? I know there is a lever type also that fits my Paso pecause a friend has one on his Paso.

The worse-case-scenerio is that you'll have to fit a solid pipe/tube in place of the petcock and then install an inline valve. Some of us have installed inline valves, along with the petcock, just to make it easier to shut the fuel supply off in case the carbs have a tendancy to leak around the needle valve in the float bowl. I placed an inline valve under my headlight, for easier access.

Have you tried taking the tap apart to try and see what's wrong with it? I also have a tap with a round screw knob at the bottom, and I took it apart a couple of weeks ago to clean the filter at the top end of it. It's quite easy to take apart and put back together again.
