I wrecked my 907 last week. Was being stupid late on a cold night. My tires went out from under me and I went into the trees at about 70mph. Tore everything behind the seat off including the grab bar and the seat release panel as well as the tailight. I am trying to piece it back together. I also shattered the upper main fairing as well as beercanned a beautiful set of staintunes. Bad day. Dented the tank, folded both my legs backwards and got a mild cuncussion. It is still straight though. No frame damage. And didn't break any mirrors somehow. I would just like to get the necissary parts to make it rideable at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mostly just looking for the grab bar as well as the trunk release panel. I still have my lock for the back. With a little straitening I think it will still work. MAny thanks everybody.

Oh Nick, thats`s bad. Luckily you`re ok.
I sold a complete rear assembly (euro tail light, grab bar and rear cover of a 907ie) just last week :?
If the rear was torn off, are the threads in the frame to mount the rear grab bar still ok ?
I may have used foot rests, grab handle (chrome from a P750) and a new red US rear light (+ used turn signals).

rear cover

Regarding the Staintunes, there are shops that specialize on repairing exhaust cans. So if only the shell is damaged, that can be replaced.

Yeah, the frame is fine. The rear grab bar shatterted. All the bolts are still in the end of the frame. What abput getting dent's out of a tank. I got a dent right behind the filler. I also neen a right side panel. And the fairing around the headlight. I am going to learn how to fiberglass, but the fairing is in 4 pieces. Two strips where the bolt are, and the center section. And a fourth small piece. I did just find a gentlemen on ebay with a complete set of charcoal bodywork. But he won't piece it out, and he want $1500usd for the lot if anyone is interested. A little out of my price range. Oh and I am interested in that chrome grab bar. You might still have my info from that mirror you sold me for my 750 about a year and a half ago.Forgive my typing, i am on a lot of pain killers

:(

That's bad luck, mate, but it sounds like it could easily have been a lot worse.

Nothing stops the pain better than being back on the bike, so I hope that can happen soon.

pls send me a PM with your adress.
For the tank there are companies like these ones here:

http://www.cyclefinish.net/motorcycle/t ... epair.html
http://www.empiregp.com/

(I don`t know them just found them after a quick search in the internet)

I don't have the rear grab handle and light assembly nor the headlight fairing, but get us a complete list of all the parts you need and I may have some spares that may work. I do have a complete set of rearsets and some other parts available.......For the tank, that is one expensive item. One sold on eBay for over $500 within the last two weeks!

Get well soon and stop doing stupid things on your Duc!! :-)

Any decent body shop can pull the dent and fix it up. There is a guy in NC that used to do Monster tanks. Google Motomaxy or something like that. The guys name is Norm Brown.
