Fuel pressure regulator

Picked up 5 mpg and cured 90% of my Weber woes with a Holley fuel pressure regulator. Part # 12 804. It's even preset at 3 lb. At least mine was. :thumbup:

I have a spare one in the garage if anyone wants it. I have Dellortos, and the pressure regulator came with some spare parts I bought. Just cover the postage and its yours.

How did you know which Holley fuel pressure regulator to buy? Where did you purchase yours? Was installation difficult? I recently purchased a 1987 Paso but don't know much about the Weber and the associated problems you mention. Thanks, Horse

Went to my local auto parts and went through catalog.Good parts guy was a big help! Installation was easy as there is alot of room under all that bodywork. Made a bracket and mounted it to the motormount bolts on right side.

didn't modify the stock bracket at all. just made a bracket to mount the holley bracket to and mounted that to a motor mount bolt. :idea:

sorry! pretty much computer dummy. Lucky to be doing this! Just cut a rectangular piece of 1/8 steel wide enough to span the two motor mount bolts in the v and long enough to hold the regulator. Make sure it doesn't rub on anything, bolt it up and enjoy! Not a cure all, but worth the trouble.

Hi, thank you for this important info, I'm thinking to do the same.
I still have some problems with weber carb around 5,000 RPM ...before and after 5,000 is just fine.
Do you think will resolve this problem?
I never use one of those, how do you connect it?

Thanks mickster, I used your info, went ahead and bought one of these on E-bay last week and installed it today. Initial try looks good, easy to start now and best of all not stalling anymore! I did not really see a need to mount the regulator in my case, maybe the fuel lines have already been modified, I don't know,but the regulator weighs almost nothing and fits quite nicely under the tank, I just used a cable tie, and all seems well.The regulator has one inlet and two outlets, one to the carb, and the other goes back to the suction side of the pump as a bypass.
