I am going to see a mate at the weekend who likes to play with lathes and the such like as a hobby and I shall see what he thinks to spending some time making some of these - my problem is that on my bike I have none so can any one post a couple of photo's and maybe a life size diagram or dimensuions on a drawing of these "nipples" so that I can give him an idea. Assuming folk have had theirs knackered like mine I reckon a run of about 100 should suit everyone on the site possibly interested. Assuming it's cost effective for him?

It will also help keep my side panels in situ.

I shall also see if i can get hold of the tank rubbers from my local dealer to help get a tight fit.

Alternatively to save my Mirrors saga I can get them made on an as ordered and paid for basis

Well guys I have just been out inspecting what is left of the lugs on my side panels and it isn't a lot as they have been ground off but what I have found is a load of bits left from my Ikea flat pack furniture bags and there are an several wooden lugs there that look like they can can be shaped to fit and a good few metal studs that can be cut down to do the same.

If any one can come up with some dimensions it would be appreciated.

I'd be happy to make up a few, especially if someone will post dimensions, or loan me a part. I don't even have threaded studs, so I'd make something that either screws onto the stud, or could be stuck right on the fairing where the bolts were gone.

Kurt - that wasn't me at Lars Anderson - I usually make it, but I was competing in the Moto Giro in VT that day. I live in Littleton, MA about 3 mi from Moto Market - do you ever go to Euro Bike night on Thur? If you come by and loan me a stud and buy me 4 grommets, I'll make up 2 studs for you...:-)

Hi Kurt,

if you fail to find the bullets, I can machine them for you. (private machine shop containing a toolroom lathe, 2 tool room grinders, conventional milling machine, dead CNC milling machine, sawing machine, big drill, belt grinder and a pile of tools)
What's the size of the threat in the picture anyway? M8 of bigger?
How many you need? (the lesser the better, means lesser work)
I don't need a drawing as I have fairing parts hanging around incl. the bullet.
let me know.

I could use a set of these also...rubber bits and bullets.

Once you have your bits could you post a summary of what to ask for and from where?

Cheers
Andrew
