Hey there,
My clutch quit working the other day so I started into troubleshooting. The lever had hardly any resistance. I tried to bleed the system and found when I pumped the lever, the fluid coming out of the fitting on clutch cover was very low pressure. My thought is that the seals in the lever/resevoir went bad. Anyone know anything about this? I called the local dealer and they said there is a gasket kit part #000047226 or the whole assembly, #037054300. Are these the correct parts? Is it re-buildable? The resevoir is a Brembo with the number cast on it 104888. I sure hope someone could help me out with some info as I've never worked on this before. Also, I repaired my cracked coolant bottle last year with JB weld and it is still holding well.

Cheers.

I cleaned the area, scuffed it with sand paper and cleaned again with xylol, then mixed the jb weld and applied into and around crack and let cure for two days. Still holding after a thousand or so miles.

 Thanks! Here such is "Araldit" and one of my 3 expansion tanks is leaking, so maybe i try that way..... Surely alumium tank would be very cool, but its may better to find easier solution....like Araldit ( = JB weld)

Hi Antti,

besides the use of Araldit or any kind of 2-pack epoxy components you can weld the crack.
the expansion tank is made of PE (poly-ethyleen) and is very good weldable.
I did mine last year and costet € 15 and I could wait for the repair in the weld shop
And it is still holding!

good luck

I would look at the clutch slave cylinder too, bolted to the lh side casing, I thought my problem was at the lever end, however I replaced the single seal with a double lip one off ebay (will look for part no) I used a Mityvac bleeding pump system to bleed the air out..be carefull not to overtighten the banjo bolt connecting the rubber hose to the cylinder, as it will strip the threads, yes I stripped mine, so had to helicoil it ,,,.

normally those banjo's are sealed with copper rings.
I use stainless steel bonded seals as seal. there are severall benefits. Due to the rubber lips inside the stainless steel ring the applied torque can be low, which avoids stripping threads. the sealing is very good and these rings are re-usable. these bonded seals come also in a plated mild steel version. but these tended to corrode due to the agressive brakingfluid. furthermore I use them as bleeders to get rid of trapped air pockets.
I'm very happy with them. :)
