Postage will not be too much. A year or so back Desmo_Demon posted a Corbin seat to me in NZ, and it was "affordable".

what ?! Is there a 0 too much ? That`s insane.
I`ve sent several car parts to Japan lately. I.e. a car door (17kg), two car fenders etc and each part was about €100-120 "only".
How can shipping of a seat be so expensive?

Thats the correct shipping estimate given, probably because they are not interested in offering it full stop, I have had steel fuel tanks and mudguards shipped over for less than a quarter of that price offered.

Gert I saw that one, many thanks I was considering it but with probably 50,000 plus miles and the various nicks around it I may give it a miss - but I am watching it.
