Well, I have tried a couple of times to get the turn signal lens from the dealership in Louisville, Ky. Apparently Ducati has a new parts system and it isn't working too good right now so they can't see if it is available or not. Will try again at the end of the week. I think I will try the torch red on the air scoops and see if it matches. If it doesn't... Air Tech has some cool ones in CF which I may check into. It says on their website that they will make anything they sell in CF. They make some cool parts for ducatis.... including Pasos. If you order a lot they will deal also. They gave me about $500 off my order for my 900SS bevel replica bodywork..... good guys to deal with and the parts are reasonable. My brother said the tires are cracked on the sidewalls so I will need some tires also. I may try to order the Avons mentioned elsewhere in this forum.... even though I am eyeing those sticky Maxxis tires , if they make one which will fit. Well all my other parts are in and I am just waiting to go to Daytona to pick it up. Will update when I get back with some pics......Later...Dew....... :-P

Just happened to be talking to Marvin at Holt BMW in Athens Ohio the other day. He mentioned that Kent still had a few miscellaneous Ducati parts left over from the 90's when they carried Ducati. They even had a few turn signal lens for my Paso. They listed for about eleven bucks apiece so I bought all they had..... 5 lens in all. Might have been able to get them a dollar or two cheaper somewhere else, but I believe in supporting my local dealers whenever possible. I am willing to sell one set of them (left and right lens) for $22 plus shipping :!: :!: :!: . So if you are in desperate need and can't get them from the dealership, just give me a shout at dewjantim@msn.com ...... these are new in the box and I will only sell one set    ..... I would appreciate it if you only buy if you need one. As you can see I am not making any money (well maybe 37 cents) and could get more from eBay. We gotta stick together on this parts thing...... and help one another out whenever possible ;) ;) ;) ......

I went to Daytona on Sunday and got home on Friday morning with my new (to me) Paso :-P :-P . Yesterday evening I removed all the body work, got out the cleaning materials and went to work 8) 8) . The primary cleaning took about 6-7 hours. Using diesel fuel and a stiff brush I scrubbed all the old dirt and accumulated grease from the chassis, engine, and wheels. Hosed the diesel fuel off and completed the cleaning with Suzuki cleaner (I buy it by the gallon) and a soft brush. Bodywork was also cleaned the same way. Blew the whole thing dry and installed the bodywork. Touched up some of the chassis and controls with black paint then shined it with finishing compound and armour all. Reinstalled the bodywork, hand rubbed it and sprayed with detailer for that oh so wet shine   . The bike is looking great. Today I will install the starter, new battery, and possibly the front tire (the rear is brand new, no cracks, with the tits still on the tire), touch up the paint, detail the chassis a little more, and maybe change the oil and filter. Hopefully it will be running by tomorrow    . If everything goes well I should end up with about $2300 in the bike and it will look fantastic  . Wish me luck...... more reports and pics will follow next week in the saga of the $1500 Paso.....Ciao for niao......

Today I took the seat to be reupholstered..... red and black with green welt, a little pricey at $150 but the guy does a good job. He has done several seats for me in the past. Should be done by the end of the month. Also ordered the air scoop for the left side oil cooler today from Airtech, I was going to try to fix the old one but it fell apart when I unscrewed it from the fairing :,( . It should be here by the end of the month also  . I touched up the paint with the torch red paint and buffed it out with my high speed buffer. It matched pretty well even though you can see my touch ups from about two feet away. My wife said it looks nice and she hates motorcycles so it must be OK. I also purchased some green and red paint for the bottom of the fairing and the oil cooler scoops. Will mount my starter tomorrow and see if it works :P , if not :dunno: .... I will try the wiring fix..... wish me luck  . Didn't get pics today, but will try again for tomorrow.....ciao for niao.....

Not moving as fast as I wanted but getting ahead slowly. The oil changed, belts changed, timing set, starter installed, new battery, new front tire, wiring connected (correctly I hope), new air filter, cleaned fuel filter, new fuel line, painted the bottom fairing, put on white and green pinstripes, and am the process of cleaning out the tank. Have to change the fork oil. Next is adding tank sealer and putting bodywork back on with my new stainless bolt kit. I have to go to Pennsylvania this weekend to pick up a couple of GTLs which I bought in February, so....... It should be running Monday.... still keeping my fingers crossed   .....
