hi, i currently own a 750 sport and are looking to purchase a F1 750. Does anyone know which is the best model of the F1 to have? not including the special editions.

Greetings from France where it rains every days for two weeks.

Any F1 is worth having. Of course any Ducati in tri colore is also worth having, so the F1 in tri colore is obviously the best.
Same is true for the 851, and the 1098, and anything else with that paint job.

A terriffic track bike, small, nimble, narrow and can keep up with bigger bikes when ridden hard.

Yes I still have the tri colore fairings but I leave the black ones on all the time. It looks cooler! :-)

as regards which fairings, it's each to their own of course. Only advantages of the 'stealth mode' black trim I can see are:-
A/ You will scare all opposition off the road in front of you (in theory)
B/ If you do have a spill and the bike gets inverted your 'number of the beast' will hopefully prompt someone to call an ambulance.
