So, the red devil was all fixed, wheel installed, waxed, new fork seals, lovingly pampered and ready to ride, once the snow leaves the streets. All was well in Pasoville, until....
I had the bike on the trailer and was strapping it down when I heard a sickening "snap".
I had not been careful enough with the straps and the left strap pulled down across the turn signal switch and broke the knob off.
I have the lever part of the switch out and am attempting a repair with epoxy, but I am not optimistic. Does anybody have a spare or have a source for this part. I really don't want to replace the entire assy, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do... :banghead:

Hi Reddog, i have seen them on ebay quite often, you should pick one up with out too much trouble if no one here doesn`t have one.

Have a look at this item on ebay: 320654692989

Davo,
Thanks for the lead. I looked last nite but did not find a LH assy, lots of RH ones out there though. I set up a search to keep an eye out for others. Happy Trails, Doug@8K'

Thanks Higgy, That is who has the one on FleaBay I have the offer in on. I guess I should check him out, I have trouble finding stuff for my LeMans as well as the 907.

Always good to have more resources. Doug@8K'

Doug, lots of italian bikes from that era used the same switch/control unit. The only thing you need to be careful about is the connector. Although lots of them look the same some have a connector with pins, some with spades etc. Which type of connector do you have ?
Nice Guzzi btw.

Thanks for the compliments, it's my second favorite Italian bike (don't tell the Guzzi it's #2, it probably will leave me walking out of spite).
I took the switch apart last nite and removed the actual "lever". It is held in place with one phillips screw. My hope is to just replace the lever to avoid having the controls (left and right) look different from age and weather.
The epoxy fix went well, but I am hoping to replace the lever so as to avoid doing it all again.

I don`t like to say that but things glued together usually won`t hold up a long time specially if it`s something like this parts that`s often moved and pressed. I also doubt you will find this as a single spare part unless you find a defect control unit you can remove it from.

My thoughts exactly. Better repaired than "rigged". D@8K'
