Greetings.

Does anyone have a schematic for how the dash/instrument pod is supposed to be mounted or secured?

Mine is kinda bouncing up and down. Initially I thought the foam is supposed to keep it in place
but maybe not.

It is mounted 3x with the shock mounts (#12).

Don`t think these are available anymore my dealer told me, I bought the last ones available....
But maybe that was only for Germany, or he lied...

mounts are threaded on both ends with rubber in between. One end threads into the cluster( the end you need to shorten) the other is nutted in place on three brackets that are part of the fairing stay

they usually come appart one day as the threaded part is only glued to the rubber block.
The foam rubber surround is there just to close the gap between instrument panel and fairing.

One of the reasons why these silent blocks fail can be the speedometer cable. There are several cables that fit but if the one used is not long enough there can be tension on it which will transfer on the silent blocks. One of the signs the speedometer cable was replaced with one that`s too short is that the rubber retainer on the side of the fender is stretched when the wheels are on the ground or the front is lifted.
