Is a 907 ie swinging arm a direct drop in replacement for a 750 Paso swinging arm? Am thinking of doing a 17" wheel conversion

Brake holders I believe are completely different, so no not drop in replacement. Seems to me the 750 FAQ has all the details you need

yes it is. If you swap swingarm, wheel and brake caliper + bracket there are no problems.

Yup
doing the same at the moment with a complete 907 swing arm, monster 750 rear wheel & complete RF600 front wheel.
Using RF speedo drive made a custom cable to fit Paso speedo , haven't fitted swing arm yet so I don't know how well that will works.
Also fitted 907 centre & side stands , waiting on a 907 front guard as the 750 looked odd sitting over a 17' wheel.

So I guess this all means kinda yes kinda no.
Bolt on if you include wheels and brakes and all the other 907 bits
You then will have to deal with the speedo issues

Sound right ? Do you need to change master cylinders as well ?

Hi Foxtree
i see you have also fitted the 40mm brembo calipers with bevel heavens bracket. i have also done the same on my sport (but with the 16" wheel). does it make any difference where you fit the hose to the caliper? i have seen pictures where the bleed screw and hose connection are swopped around to what you have.

having the bleeding screw in the highest point (original position) would be better but there“s no other way when using original brake lines then swapping positions.
The only way to keep the bleeding screw in it`s top position is using brake lines that have banjo fittings.

Hi,
Got the calipers as you see them from Gotham Cycles off a 996.
To bleed them I used a vacuum plump and sucked the brake fluid down from the reservoir .
So far no chance to really test ride as the weather has been crap up here in Wellington. :)

Foxtee.
i've also noticed that i have fitted those aluminum brackets the "other" way around to you. Which would mean i have them on opposite sides to you as well. Mine were not marked so which is correct?
I see you have fitted braided lines? Did you get them made up? I had my set done here in CHC cost $210.

The brake bracket's are the opposite way round for the 300mm disc's ( normal for 280mm disc's).
The brake lines are a Venhill kit made for Paso's off Ebay .
Next to do is get the bike cert'd for a W.O.F. :) :)

Tony
