I bought the one on ebay for $6605.98 US. Was picked up for me by a friend and I have not actually seen it in person yet. Perhaps I paid too much but I thought it was a great find. I used to ride by the Ducati dealer in 1988 when I was in college (on my Ninja 250 lol) and look at the "Ferarri" of motorcycles. Had no idea I would literally be able to own a "new" one 24 years later.

The Limited with 377 ? Maybe a little overpriced but should be a good find in the end.

And now I find the tire issue! HAHAHA jokes on me....guess I should have looked on the forum before buying it. BUT I am encouraged by the use of sprocket spacers to get a rear tire (sure its needed after 24 years!) and a front by raising the mud guard. The thing was in a private collection inherited by the son in 2004 and he sold it to me. Its a time capsule! Who knows, maybe the tires will work for just pleasure cruising - I dont intend to beat it up just enjoy it.

Also, one friend told me I shouldnt ride it with 377 miles on it...and get another with some miles on it to ride....but hell whats the point in that? Im not a museum!

your friend is right at least not w/o a full servive incl. everything (greasing steering head bearings, swingarm axle, swingarm needle bearing, carb rebuild, of course new belts & tires...). It`s probably more work to bring a bike on the road that was stored forever than when getting a used one.
Every vehicle is made to be used.

Well no worries Im taking that baby to the Duck shop and getting the full services done, possibly even new tires if I can get them to do the mods to fit 130/70-16 front and 180/60-16. I know its going to be expensive but you want what you want, right? I have a 1972 Pantera that requires lots of tweaking/playing with but it's worth the effort. I think this will be also. Vintage is cool, especially since Im 42 and getting a little vintage myself.

Have also the wheel bearings checked and it probably would be good to remove the heads to check cylinders and piston rings, the inside of the tank too as some have rust problems.

Is there any other way external view to tell if one has a "power" limited or just a decal version?

I don`t think that is possible w/o looking inside the engine.
There`s basically no info about those few bikes. My guess is those are the Pasos that came with the racing Silentiums in a crate.

This may be useful, but then again..... I bought my Limited from its second owner and so I have no first-hand history on the origin of it. But mine does have the "closed course" Silentiums and the Dellortos. These were installed on the bike so I don't know what they came in. The stock silencers and Weber carb came with it but were just in some old boxes. Upon refurbishing the bike in 2008, I did come to find the header pipes have a different part number stamped on them than what is in the parts book and the intake ports on each cylinder have clearly been cleaned up. But I never had the engine apart to see or measure anything else. That's about all I have to go on.
