Rebuilding my 907 ST3

Back from france!
The first thing I did: I took the new silver plated footpeg-Bolts and springs, polished them (they were white before polishing) and assembled the pegs.
Some of you might think: Ok, now Jo has finally absolutely gone nuts. :banghead:

He is silver plating the screws. Maybe you`re right. But it looks good :mrgreen:

Its color fits much better to the color of the footpegs, than the zink-plated screws.

Currently, i am still waiting for my brand new swingarm, the new dash and the new radiator from down under.
The hunt for the swingarm-decals is ongoing, but could finally be successful the next days. G. helped a lot there.
And then there still is the wiring-tree-task, including the rev-counter....

Yes, i could have polished it. Or have it zinc plated.
But i wanted to try the look of silver, wich has much more white and a little red in it.
And, well, who can say, that his bike has silver plated parts? :cool:

I just wanted to try - and i think the result is really good. Let`s see, how long it takes to de-color the silver...

Wow! If i had known this before... maybe ... no. I still would have silver plated the parts. I did not pay for it. But the stainless steel screws, i think i`ll buy a pair as well.

At first i only wanted to rebuild the wiring tree.
Now, i don`t know why, i am buying every NOS part i can get hold of...
Please do not ask my girlfriend for the costs.
But maybe i have a "close to new" bike, when i am finished. :wacko:

You will still have to redo your wiring as you won`t find a new one for that. :wink:

Question: How can i add more than 3 pics?

The new brakedisks arrived this week.

The rear disk is nearly 150 grams heavier than the old one.
Is it all caused by the wear?
