a couple of years ago i had this idea in my head after reading a few posts stating that the induction pressure fluctuation and or resonance in the air box caused some glitches at cartain revs by feeding too much info into the p7, and some bright spark came up with the cigarette butt idea to minimize this problem. :thumbup:
i just soldered some copper capillary tube to a small refrigerant strainer and connected two small 3/16 copper ends to the capillary which is the same size as the pressure sensor tube connectors and reconnected this gadget with the rubber tube and small cable ties, the top capillary tube is 1.2mm and the bottom 1mm in dia. see pic




this gadget acts as a muffler and should smoothen things out from any fluctuation, but still giving the correct absolute atmospheric air pressure from inside the air box...i didnt try it out as yet :dunno:

Hey Claude, was wondering where you where!!

crackin bit of work there.
I had Brad the Bike boy look at that FBF chip. He found it to be a lot richer and more advanced at lower evs and the same as the FIM in the higher rev range.

My bike runs even smoother now and was much improved at low revs with that chip, just better all round.

Just got mine back a while back after he fixed the barrel oil leaks, $$$$, but hardly done any riding.

What sort of stuff is inside the filter, I was just thinkin that being designed for refrigeration the filter medium wont be expected to cope with moisture and ... well that thing of yours may work better or worse depending on humidity ( or even worse and worser) Mmmmm Im also wondering about the length and diameter of those capillery coils and thier resonant frequency ... :D :D :D Ha ha , tell ya what tho , I had to see the irony tho ..... your pix of this invention ...... and your avitar
