I'm getting rid of my 22k mile, full service history, 851 Strada.
If anyone is vaguely interested I'll put the details up here first BEFORE I EBay it. Don't really know why - I guess I just like the people I've met here and they seem to be more interested in loving their bikes rather than making a profit, which, as my wife reminds me, is what I should be doing.
Before anyone asks I'm selling it because my osteopathic surgeon tells me that after the three operations on my knees and hips I'll be lucky to get my leg over a fit bit of tail . . . and so . . . a bike is right out of the question.
I think that sucks so . . . I'm selling the 916s and 851, and buying a Second Generation Yamaha VMax.
If anyone is interested let me know and I'll post details and pictures.
And before any smart-arse asks:
YES ! It does have a toolkit (original Ducati hand-book, Ducati Factory Workshop Manual and VERY RARE Service Manual - fully completed!)

Sorry to hear of this Rhino. 851/888's are cramped leg wise (as are 907's). Not sure I approve of a Yamaha replacing 2 delicious dukes tho, how about a 4V Monster or if a muscle bike is your desire a Diavel. Cheers, Keith.

he`s always liked the MT01 which regarding the sitting postion may be better than a Vmax. Something like a Cagiva Elefant, KTM Adventure or Honda AfricaTwin would probably have a good sitting position but I guess you`d then have the problem to swing one leg over it. Quite honestly if I had problems getting on a bike I`d consider something like a Yamaha T-Max. These scooters are everything but slow and boring even if it takes some time to get accustomed to them.

I think that a Diavel was the obvious choice 900streetfighter but the Vmax just seemed so OTT.
I haven't sold the 851 yet nor put the funds together for a Diavel - let alone a Vmax (£14,000 second hand!!! Bloody Hell!!)
The main reason for looking at the Vmax (apart from the insane power) is the fact it's so low. I LOVE the MT-01 but again it's swinging a leg over that will be the problem, as with all the bikes you mention G. Good choices though. Bit surprised you didn't think of a Triumph Rocket 3, the obvious choice versus the Vmax.
First I have to sell the 851 and after that I will keep everyone informed.
