the first 750 Elefant engine was the same as the one of the Paso including Kokusan ignition, but with the difference of using lower compression pistons. (9.3:1)
From 94 on the engine was the one of the Supersport, wet clutch.

A couple of engine have gone recently on Ebay for under £500 they do turn up and any breakers that have them want shot pretty quickly - MCN is showing a few breakers that have broken Paso's so probably worth a shout. Most breakers buy the bikes just for the bodywork and mirrors !

And I can vouch for that fact that airbox phase 2 was looking like quite some piece of work in May :thumbup:

Who has quoted for the Gas flowing and the cams ? local ?Sheppo ?
If cylinders need replating I can maybe assist with that and also if new pistons are required through a few contacts - cams might be harder but at that price why not just send yours to Kent to be reprofiled - a friend had four cams done for a TL1000 for around £300 which is cheaper than any of the after market camshafts I've seen for a 2 valve Duc.
I would think both Tony Brancato and Baines racing are worth a call.
Also if you can put up with the fact he's a total miserable gut half the time trty AJ Racing in Gloucestershire

How is the engine from a 750SS different to the paso engine?

I was thinking the mounting points might be way out, but the basic config of the engine seems the same. if anyone knows of any huge problems with compatibility let me know. thanks
