Thanks to this site, I've learned a LOT about the Paso and it's "character". It is from this site that I know I have to smooth out the dimples on the Dellorto slides before I even discovered that they will be an issue. I've printed out the "Ducati Cuddle" written by Skins and read it a couple of times, in hopes of making setting up the carbs less of an issue. Lots of searches and surfing through the forum has me wanting to do the wiring modification for starting improvement and a possible modification of adding an inline fuel shut-off, as other have done. This will be a fairly slow project (by my standards), but it's looking like I'm saving myself future headaches by hanging out here, so......Thanks to all of you who contribute to the troubleshooting of our Pasos! :thumbup:

the front part of your F1 cans are normal steel not stainless right ?
Just a hint, you may consider to wipe that part off with an oily rag. Of course it may smoke a bit the first seconds the bike is running. Repeat this 3 or 4 times with some driving periods inbetween.
It will take the shine away a bit but you won`t have to bother with surface rust anymore after the "burn in" period.
Of course you can do the same with the header.
just an idea ...

My first '91 750 SSNuda didnt have any oilcooler(s) so i guess the pump doesnt mind. The bike will get faster at the right temperature and doesnt cool down too much in winter (in the snow :laugh: )

In the same place monster has a tap. Maybe there's a bypass valve inside the oil line, as the tap is a manual one

:cool: highly reccomend the wiring upgrade for the ignition coils ,also it is a good idea to run the headlight though a relay as well , i did mine and the headlight is 50% better due to the round about way the wiring goes . i fit 4 new fuses in a waterproof casing beside the rear brake resevior one for the coils , one for the headlight , one for the fuel pump and a spare.
the wiring for the indicator sounder is taped up on mine have yet to source one but probably wont here it over the contis so havent bothered.
